Lecture: During the fifth lecture week, the instructor covered the topic of using videos to build a visually appealing website layout. Promoting art can be done most easily with a short film featuring your best work. But making the ideal showreel is not that simple. It is best to select artworks that you wish to feature in a video, as it is necessary to incorporate pertinent works together. Prior to that, you should be very clear on who and why you want to impress with it.

The most crucial portions of a reel are its introduction and conclusion, so focus on those first. There's a danger that no one will watch the entire reel if it doesn't grab their attention right away.

Narrative is an effective technique that can also improve a showreel. People enjoy stories, so there's no reason not to tell them more. That might astonish viewers and increase views.

Aside from that, the quality of the video should be considered when creating it. The same issue that beginners deal with is that their talents develop quickly, and there may occasionally be a significant difference in quality between their initial and final artwork.

Another essential component that can improve and accentuate a reel is music. It must pay attentively in order to select the appropriate music. Adding a favourite music just because you love it so much is the worst idea. A video should not always fit the music, thus it's vital to use caution.
